Meriwether Receives Entrepreneur Friendly Designation
Our county has officially6 been designated as an Entrepreneur Friendly Community. This designation reflects the commitment the county has made towork towards attracting small businesses into the county and to work with them to ensure their success.
Flint River Academy Hosts Chamber Board
The Board of Directors held its May meeting at the Flint River Academy in Woodbury. Joining the Board for its meeting were member businesses in the area including Calvin McGraw, Cane Creek Metal Works, Inc.; Mike Mills, Mills Insurance and Real Estate; Bob Osford; Steve James, Crown Technology, LLC and Howard Ayers, Paragon Consulting. Mayor Ronnie Garrett provided information on Woodbury and Marlowe Hinson, Headmaster of Flint River reported on exciting things at the school.

Manchester recieved a OneGeorgia grant to purchase the Goody Building.
