Located in West Central Georgia, Meriwether County lies on the Piedmont Plateau, within the “Golden Triangle” formed by Atlanta, Columbus, and Macon. With easy access to I-85, our unique location puts Atlanta’s Hartsfield International Airport 35 miles northeast, while Georgia’s third largest city, Columbus, is 40 miles south, and Macon 60 miles east. Our location and climate – both natural and economic – are an increasing magnet to new and relocating business and industry.
